Made Up Cuisine Battles
Tuna Tartar VS. Noodle Stir Fry
A modern day epic. A clash of the titans at the Vault Kitchen and Market here in Savannah, Ga. (Where I currently bartend/Serve). On the left side of the sketchbook, weighing in at approximately 1/2 lbs of the freshest tuna, avocado, masago, tobiko, seaweed salad, all mixed with sriracha and spicy mayo and topped with fried crabstick and sesame seeds. What a contender. Undefeated in the appetizer weight-class, the brave Tatar has boldly decided to take on the mighty Noodle Stir-Fry from the mains category. Weighing in at approximately 2 lbs. of bold flavor and a laundry list of ingredients that are sure fit to put any contender to rest. Beef and shrimp give the noodle its hearty bravado, while the real secret weapon that the noodle possesses lies in the sauce. Soybeans, the thing that give soy sauce their incredible umami and sweetness, enter soybeans. Whole beans spread throughout the noodles, as well as carrots, bell peppers, onions, scallions, wide rice noodles, garlic, and thai-basil. These are just the basics that a main dish just cant live without in this modern day era of made up asian-fusion cuisine battles. To see who wins this bout, you will have to come to the Vault, and just try both. Oh and for heaven sake, tip well please;)
