Quercus Virginiana
I’ve always loved drawing trees. Savannah has some of the coolest ones. Southern Live Oak (Quercus Virginiana), has Spanish moss covering each branch like some weird creepy blanket, but its beautiful and cool. This was completed in the hot savannah summer sun en plein air, sketching in one of the numerous squares that I can’t name cause I always forget which one is which. But this square is the one right by Gallery Espresso and Six Pence Pub. Quiet but still enough passers by to people watch and feel the energy of the city. This isn’t a particular tree, just a mind mash of all the ones I saw in the square that day. Now the squirrels have somewhere to hide their nuts!
